P8 Bee Farm is a honey bee removal and relocation service covering Bryan, Texas, operated by beekeeper Dustin Pedretti. Working from a base in Bryan, the farm answers bee calls in the heart of the Brazos Valley, where Bryan and neighboring College Station form the region’s population center.
Because honey bees are vital pollinators, a live-removal beekeeper relocates the colony to an apiary rather than treating it as a pest to exterminate. That approach fits this area particularly well: Brazos County’s mix of neighborhoods, pastureland, and river-bottom woods along the Brazos and Navasota rivers supports abundant wild colonies, so bees turning up in a wall void, shed, water meter box, or backyard oak is a routine event – especially during swarm season, which in Texas typically runs from roughly March through June.
Timing matters when bees settle into a structure. A swarm that arrived days ago has little or no comb and can often be removed with minimal disruption. A colony that has spent a season inside a wall has comb, brood, and heavy stores of honey that must be cut out along with the bees; leaving them behind invites melted honey, odors, and repeat move-ins by future swarms drawn to the scent of old comb.
